I am not sure where the summer has gone but it is already open house night at school! I don't know who is more excited about school the kid or me? I know that the night before we went in to meet the teacher I was the one who did not sleep much. It must be the teacher in me who has such anticipation about the new school year.
Before the summer comes to an end we have many things we need to accomplish. So I know it is a day late but here is a 10 on Tuesday!
1. Go for a bike ride. We have not make the ride down to the Dairy Delight that we have been talking about since well the snow melted!
2. Read Read Read! The little man only has 15 more books to read to make it to 200 books for the summer!
3. Run run! I have yet to complete a run outside this summer. Perhaps with the new running shoes I will make a run very soon!
4. Pool Party! July was so hot and we truly did not get out swimming as much as we should have. There is just something to be said for staying in the air conditioning and not going out when it is sweltering!
5. Scrapbook. I have a pile of pages sitting on my desk that need to be done by the first day of school!
6. Play at the zoo! We renewed our membership to the zoo and have gone a grand total of 1 time all summer. Maybe we can go splash in the fountains and play at the park one more time before summer is over!
7. Catch some fish! We have been to our cabin once and visited Mr. Charlie's cabin but have not caught any fish that were worth keeping. Maybe just maybe we could have a fish fry!
8. Hike! We had one really bad hike this summer and it would be nice to go for a hike that was enjoyable for all from start to finish. No weeds as tall as Daddy on the hike!
9. Make Bread. I would love to have some new delicous bread to start the school year. I think it will be time to explore some new recipies!
10. It is time to end this list!
